How to Connect Wajooba's MCP Server to Claude and Grok Bot
How to Connect Wajooba's MCP Server to Claude and Grok Bot
Overview
Wajooba has a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server. Connect it to an AI assistant such as Claude or Grok Bot, and the assistant can work in your Wajooba account when you ask it to in plain language. For example, it can create and send email campaigns, manage courses and events, build landing pages and update your website.
| Detail | Value |
|---|---|
| Server URL | https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp |
| Server type | Remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) |
| Sign-in | You sign in to your Wajooba account when you connect |
| Tools | 42 tools covering email campaigns, courses, events, landing pages (including donation and merchandise pages), website pages and forms |
| Built-in playbooks | list_skills and get_skill give the assistant step-by-step guides for common Wajooba tasks |
Once connected, you don't need to know the tool names. Just tell the assistant what you want, for example "Create a draft campaign called Spring Open House for my Students tag", and it picks the right tools.
What You Need
- A Wajooba account with access to the organization you want to manage. You'll sign in with it during setup.
- The server URL:
https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp - For Claude: a Claude account. Custom connectors work on Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans, but Free plans are limited to one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, an Owner (or an admin with the right permission) has to add the connector before members can connect to it.
- For Grok Bot: the Grok Bot app, signed in to your account.
- For developers (optional): Claude Code (the command-line tool) if you want to use Wajooba from your terminal.
Connect to Claude
Custom connectors work in Claude on the web (claude.ai), in Claude Desktop and in Cowork. Claude connects to the Wajooba server from Anthropic's cloud, so a connector you add once is available on every Claude app where you're signed in.
Option A: Individual plans (Free, Pro, Max)
- Open Claude and go to Customize > Connectors.
- Click + Add, then Add custom connector.
- Enter a name for the connector, for example
Wajooba. - Enter the server URL:
https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp, then click Continue. - Review the authentication settings Claude detected. The defaults are usually right. Click Continue.
- Under Authentication, choose Sign in now (or Sign in when needed).
- Under OAuth client, keep Use Claude's published identity (Recommended).
- Leave Request headers empty. Wajooba uses account sign-in, not an API key.
- Click Add.
- When the Wajooba sign-in window opens, sign in to your Wajooba account and approve access.
Option B: Team and Enterprise plans
Step 1: An Owner adds the connector to the organization
- Go to Organization settings > Connectors.
- Click Add.
- Hover over Custom, then select Web.
- Enter a name, for example
Wajooba. Members will see this name in their connectors list. - Enter the server URL:
https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp, then click Continue. - Review the detected authentication settings and click Continue.
- Under Authentication, choose Sign in when needed or Sign in now. Each member then signs in with their own Wajooba account.
- Under OAuth client, keep Use Claude's published identity (Recommended).
- Leave Request headers empty.
- Click Add.
Step 2: Each member connects their own account
- Go to Customize > Connectors.
- Find Wajooba in the list. It usually has a "Custom" label.
- Click Connect and sign in to your Wajooba account.
Turn the connector on in a chat
- In a conversation, click the + button at the lower left of the message box.
- Choose Connectors.
- Make sure the Wajooba toggle is on.
When Claude wants to run a Wajooba tool, it may ask for your approval. Read each request, especially for actions that send email or change data. Only choose Allow always for tools you trust to run without checking with you first.
Option C: Claude Code (command line)
Run this in your terminal:
claude mcp add --transport http wajooba https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp
Then start Claude Code, type /mcp, select wajooba and finish the Wajooba sign-in in your browser. You can also sign in straight from your terminal:
claude mcp login wajooba
Useful commands:
claude mcp list # shows each server's status, for example "Connected" or "Needs authentication"
claude mcp get wajooba # shows details for the Wajooba server
claude mcp remove wajooba # removes the server and its stored sign-in
Add --scope user to the add command to make Wajooba available in all your projects. If you signed in to Claude Code with your claude.ai account and already added Wajooba at claude.ai, it shows up in /mcp automatically.
Connect to Grok Bot
In Grok Bot, you add the connector by asking for it in chat. There are no settings to fill in.
-
Open a chat with your Grok Bot.
-
Send this message:
Add a custom MCP server named Wajooba with the URL https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp
-
Grok Bot adds the connector and shows a sign-in card in the chat.
-
Click the card, sign in to your Wajooba account and approve access.
-
Grok Bot confirms that Wajooba is connected. You can now ask it to work in your Wajooba account.
Grok Bot checks with you before anything that can't be undone, such as sending a campaign to your audience.
Verify the Connection
Once connected, send this message to Claude (with the Wajooba connector turned on) or to Grok Bot:
List the available Wajooba tools and run list_skills
If it worked, you'll see:
- A list of Wajooba tools (42 in total), such as
list_campaigns,create_campaign,list_coursesandlist_events. - The result of
list_skills: the built-in Wajooba playbooks for campaigns, campaign design, courses, events, landing pages, and website and forms.
If you get an error, see Tips and Troubleshooting below.
Example Prompts
| What You Say | Tools Called | How It Works |
|---|---|---|
| "Connect to the Wajooba MCP server at https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp and list the available tools" | (connection check) → list_skills | Connects the AI agent to your Wajooba account and confirms the tools are available. |
| "What can you do in my Wajooba account?" | list_skills → get_skill | Lists the Wajooba playbooks and loads the one that matches your task. |
| "Which audiences can I send to?" | list_audience_tags | Lists your audience tags with their IDs. Use an ID as the campaign audience, or "all" for every contact. |
| "Show me my recent campaigns" | list_campaigns | Returns your email campaigns with their IDs, which every other campaign tool uses. |
| "Create an email campaign named 'November Product Updates' and send it to [email protected]" | get_skill → create_campaign → get_campaign → send_campaign | Creates the campaign with the subject and recipient, reads it back, then sends after you confirm. |
| "Create a draft campaign 'Spring Open House' for my Students tag. Don't send it." | list_audience_tags → create_campaign | Finds the tag's ID, uses it as the audience, and stops after creating the draft. |
| "Design an HTML email announcing our new features" | get_skill → create_campaign → list_campaign_blocks → get_campaign_template → save_campaign_template → update_campaign → get_campaign | Builds the email from blocks (heading, text, image, cards, button, divider), saves the full HTML to the campaign and reads it back to verify. |
| "Send the 'October Product Updates' campaign now" | list_campaigns → get_campaign → send_campaign | Checks the audience and body, then sends to the full audience. This can't be undone. |
Tips and Troubleshooting
| Topic | Details |
|---|---|
| Sending is final | send_campaign sends to the campaign's full audience right away and can't be undone. Always check the audience and content before you confirm a send. |
| Every campaign needs an audience | A campaign needs an audience: a tag ID from list_audience_tags, "all" for every contact, or a list of email addresses such as [email protected] and [email protected]. |
| Test emails | The MCP server has no test-send tool. To send a test, sign in to Wajooba admin, open the campaign, click Send Campaign, choose the Test Campaign tab, enter a test address such as [email protected] and click Send Test. |
| HTML content | For HTML emails, have the assistant save the full HTML with update_campaign, then check it with get_campaign before sending. save_campaign_template alone doesn't update the email body that gets sent. |
| Sender address | The "From" sender comes from your Wajooba account settings. If no sender is set, campaign tools stop with an Integrations error. Set up the sender in Wajooba first, then try again. |
| 401 or "unauthorized" errors | Your Wajooba sign-in has probably expired. Disconnect the Wajooba connector, then connect it again and sign in. In Claude, use Customize > Connectors. In Grok Bot, send "Reconnect the Wajooba connector" and sign in again on the card. In Claude Code, run /mcp and choose to authenticate again, or run claude mcp login wajooba. |
| Tools don't appear | Check that the connector is turned on for the chat (in Claude, + > Connectors) and that the URL is exactly https://mcp.onwajooba.com/mcp. |
| No "Custom" option in Claude | On Team or Enterprise plans, ask your admin to add the Wajooba connector for your organization first. On Claude Free, you may already be using your one custom connector. |
| Changing connector details | In Claude, you can't edit a custom connector. Remove it, then add it again with the new details. |
| Stay in control | Review the assistant's tool approval requests, especially for actions that send email or change data. Only connect to servers you trust. |
