Prerequisites

  • An active Wajooba account
  • Existing courses already created in your Wajooba platform
  • A stable internet connection

Steps

Step 1: Start a New Class

To begin your journey into streamlined class management, head over to your Wajooba dashboard. Look for the 'New Class' button, usually prominently displayed and waiting for you to click it! This is your first step towards creating amazing new learning opportunities for your members. ✨

Step 2: Define Your Class Basics

First things first, select the course this class belongs to. Remember, only members who are registered for that course will be able to see and book this specific class. Next, give your class a clear, inviting name that tells your members exactly what it is! A good name helps everyone stay organized and excited about what's coming.

Step 3: Set Your Class Schedule

Now, let's nail down when your class will happen. You have two flexible options here: 'Specific Date' lets you pick a one-time date with a precise start and end time. Or, if you're planning recurring sessions, choose 'Repeats Weekly' to select a day of the week and either set a number of weeks or an end date for your series. This makes scheduling consistent sessions super easy and saves you time!

Step 4: Choose Your Class Location

Where will the magic happen? You can choose 'in-person,' 'online,' or even 'both' if you offer a hybrid experience! For online classes, you have a couple of fantastic options: you can paste your meeting link directly (think Zoom, Google Meet, etc.), or select a meeting provider from a dropdown. Just a friendly reminder: if you choose a provider, you'll need to connect it first under your 'Settings and Integrations' area. You've got this!

Step 5: Assign a Host and Limit Attendees

Who will be leading this fantastic session? You can choose the host or teacher from your team. You also have the power to set the 'maximum number of attendees.' This helps you manage capacity, ensures a quality experience for everyone, and helps avoid overwhelming your sessions. Decide what feels right for your class and your members!

Step 6: Publish Your Class

You're almost there! Once all your details are looking perfect, hit the 'Submit' button. But before you do, make sure the 'Publish' toggle is switched ON! This is super important because it makes your class visible on the calendar for your members to see and book. Congratulations, your class is now live and ready for bookings! 🎉

Step 7: View Your Class and Add Members

Now that your class is created, you'll see it proudly displayed on your Wajooba calendar. You can switch between 'Week' and 'Month' views to see your schedule at a glance. To manage individual members, simply click on the class to open its detail screen. From here, click 'Add Contact' to enroll existing members from your list or even create a brand-new contact on the fly. Once added, you can view their profile to confirm they're successfully enrolled! You're doing great, managing your community with ease!

Tips & Best Practices

  • Always double-check your class details before publishing to avoid last-minute changes and ensure a smooth experience for your members.
  • For online classes, test your meeting link beforehand to ensure it's working perfectly. A quick check can prevent any technical hiccups during your session!
  • Use clear and descriptive class names and descriptions. This helps your members easily understand what the class is about and gets them excited to join.
  • Consider using the 'Repeats Weekly' feature for regular coaching calls, Q&A sessions, or ongoing lessons. It's a huge time-saver and keeps your schedule consistent.
  • Don't forget to leverage the 'maximum number of attendees' setting to maintain intimacy and quality in your sessions, especially for coaching or hands-on classes.

Troubleshooting

Don't worry if you hit a snag, we've got you covered! If your class isn't appearing on the calendar, first, double-check that the 'Publish' toggle was switched ON when you created or updated the class. It's a common oversight! Also, ensure you're looking at the correct date, week, or month view. If you can't select an online meeting provider, make sure you've connected your chosen provider (like Zoom or Google Meet) under 'Settings and Integrations' in Wajooba first. And if members can't see a class, confirm they are actually registered for the main course that this specific class is attached to – class visibility is linked to course enrollment! If you're still stuck, Wajooba's support team is always ready to help.
