  • Access to the Wajooba 'Courses' module

Steps

Step 1: Create Your Course & Configure Basic Settings

Let's begin by setting up the foundation of your course! Navigate to the 'Courses' module and click to add a new course. First, enter a compelling name for your course. Wajooba's AI will then generate initial content for you. Don't forget to personalize your course by changing the thumbnail – you can select an existing one or upload a new image that truly represents your brand. Assign the author (either your organization or a specific teacher from the dropdown) and set the course duration. Once everything looks perfect, click 'Save & Continue'. You're doing great!

Step 2: Customize Your Course Sales Page

Your sales page is the shop window for your amazing course! Wajooba automatically generates one for you, and now it's time to make it shine. You can further customize its appearance, for example, by changing the style of the hero section to 'cinematic' or adjusting the color scheme to perfectly match your brand's aesthetic. Take your time to pick a look that speaks to your audience. After making your selections, hit 'Submit' to finalize your course creation.

Step 3: Preview Your Live Sales Page

Curious to see what your potential students will experience? Simply click the 'Preview' icon to view your sales page exactly as your members will see it. This is a fantastic way to double-check your description, pricing, and overall presentation. Make sure it's compelling and clear – it's all ready for you to share!

Step 4: Organize Your Course Sections & Lessons

Now, let's dive into the heart of your course: its structure! You'll see your course organized into sections and lessons. You have the power to edit the short description and add additional information for each section. For each lesson, you can choose its 'Activity Type' – whether it's 'Content' (for information delivery), a 'Test' (for assessments), or a 'Form' (for interactive input). You can also set a specific duration for each lesson. This flexibility allows you to craft a truly engaging learning journey!

Step 5: Manage Lesson Content & AI Regeneration

Wajooba makes managing your lessons a breeze! Inside each lesson, you can easily delete existing lessons or add new ones as your course evolves. If you want to enhance or refine the lesson content, just enter a new prompt in the dedicated field, and the AI will regenerate the content for you. It's like having a co-writer! After making changes, click 'Submit' to save. Expand each section to view the lessons within and then open any lesson to start building its content.

Step 6: Add Rich Media to Your Lessons

Make your lessons dynamic and captivating by adding various media! In the content area, you can easily add images, videos, and even audio files. For images, once uploaded, you can customize their positioning or make them fully responsive. For videos, they'll go through an encoding phase after upload, then be ready for viewing. Wajooba also allows you to select a layout for your media content and even drag and drop to reorder elements, giving you full creative control. Don't forget, you can also add downloadable content here, like worksheets or templates, to provide extra value!

Step 7: Configure Advanced Lesson Settings

Tailor the learning experience with powerful lesson settings! These options help you control how students interact with your content and track their progress. Let's explore them:

  • Track Lesson Progress: Enable this so members must mark the lesson as complete, contributing to their overall course progress. A great way to keep them engaged!
  • Allow Trial Access: If you offer trial versions, toggle this on to let trial members view this specific lesson or activity. It's a fantastic lead magnet!
  • Upload Homework: Perfect for interactive courses! Enable this to prompt members to upload a video, document, or image as part of their activity completion.
  • Repeat Lesson: Give your students the flexibility to practice! Toggling this on allows them to complete the lesson or assessment multiple times.
  • Hide from TOC: For drip content or special unlocks, enable this to hide the lesson from the member's table of contents until you decide to make it available.

Once you've configured these settings to perfectly match your lesson's purpose, click 'Submit'. You can repeat this process for every lesson, ensuring a tailored experience throughout your course. You can even add assessments or custom forms directly from here!

Step 8: Publish Your Lesson

The final step to making your hard work visible! From the lesson settings or an overview, simply find the dropdown menu and select 'Published'. Once clicked, your lesson will go live and be accessible to your students. Congratulations, your content is now ready for the world! 🎉

Tips & Best Practices

  • Leverage AI as your content assistant! Don't feel pressured to write everything from scratch; let the AI generate initial drafts and then infuse your unique voice and expertise.
  • Invest time in your sales page. A compelling sales page is crucial for attracting students. Use high-quality visuals and clear, benefit-driven language.
  • Mix and match media! Combine video, audio, images, and text to cater to different learning styles and keep your students engaged.
  • Think about the student journey. Use lesson settings like 'Track Lesson Progress' and 'Upload Homework' to create an interactive and measurable learning experience.
  • Regularly preview your course from a student's perspective to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience.
  • Remember, your course is a living product! You can always go back and refine content, add new lessons, or update media as your expertise grows.

Troubleshooting

Don't worry if things don't go perfectly the first time! Here are some friendly solutions to common hiccups:

  • AI content isn't quite right? No problem! Use the AI regeneration prompt again with more specific keywords, or simply edit the generated text to match your vision. It's a starting point, not the final word!
  • My media isn't uploading/encoding! First, check your internet connection. If it's still stuck, try refreshing the page or re-uploading the file. Ensure your file format is supported (e.g., MP4 for video, JPG/PNG for images).
  • Sales page looks off after customization? Go back to the 'Customize Sales Page' section and try different styles or colors. Sometimes a fresh pair of eyes helps! You can always revert changes if needed.

What's Next

Fantastic! You've built and published your course. Now, it's time to get it in front of your audience! Your next steps should focus on:

  • Marketing Your Course: Share your sales page link across your social media, email list, and other platforms. Tell everyone about the amazing value you're offering!
  • Engage with Your Students: Be ready to answer questions, provide support, and build a community around your course.
  • Gather Feedback: As students go through your course, ask for their feedback to continuously improve and evolve your offering. This is how you build a loyal following!
